Froggin Season has begun!

Went to Pleasant Pond/ Cobbosseecontee stream on Saturday June 9th.  The sky was mostly blue with scattered clouds throughout the day.  Air temperature ranged from 65-75 throughout the day and the water temperature was in the high 60's.  My hope was that I could the big female Largemouth have recovered from the spawn and were eating again.  About 6 casts into my day I got my answer. A bigger than 5 pound Bass slammed into my frog from under the cover of Lily pads.  Well that made it official..."froggin" season has begun!  Within the next half hour I had landed a three pounder as well, and then another half hour caught a 4.3. All three fish were caught with a Terminator walking frog, on the outer edge of lily pads near the channel drop off.  Soon after that the frog bite seemed to go away or at least slow enough that i wanted to experiment a bit.  For the rest of my trip I tried some new spots and did some scouting for future ones. Using a Spinner bait, swim Jig and Swim bait;  I caught a few more bass in the one pound range, several Pickerel, and a Black Crappie.  A beautiful Saturday on the water, and my biggest Bass of the year so far.  From now until Autumn, wherever there are Lily pads/grass, Ill be throwing frogs! Tight lines!
