We are a guided fishing service of the many gorgeous inland fisheries that Maine has to offer. Our specialty is Bass, but our passion for fishing has us pursuing many different local species of freshwater game fish. Whether your desire is to experience the fight of a river Smallmouth, the explosive strike of lurking Largemouth, the awe of catching a giant Pike, or even a tasty meal of Trout; reach out to us and lets make it happen!

North Pond tournament

On 7/7/18 Fished a Club Tournament on North Pond, of the Belgrade lakes. Started the day on the south end of the Pond trying to Pull Largemouth out of the Reeds.  No success there so we moves on to explore several rock piles that had been successful in the past.  Still had no success so we felt like we were in for a long day. Moved on to a weedy flat that was home to a few large boulders.  We could see a lot of schooling fish on the electronics but no takers;  No doubt it was Perch or Crappie.  At this point we were a few hours down and started to feel like we may never establish a pattern.  We navigated the narrows into Little North Pond and once again explore a rock pile while we waited for another boat to leave our desired spot.  Caught a bass near the pile of rocks but were still unable to identify a clear pattern.  After feeling like we had wasted way too much time fishing rocks, we decided to try a few submerged weed beds. Success! we caught a few fish at the first spot we chose, now all we needed to do was figure out what they wanted to eat the most.  We moved from the first Weed bed to another Weedy flat and started experimenting.  After some time doing this and not much to show for it, we tried Natural colored Chatterbaits, and fished them EXTREMELY slow.  Bingo.  My Boater caught a 4-6 Largemouth Bass followed by a 3+ Smallmouth Bass.  I was next with several good fish of my own.  From then on we primarily stayed in this spot because it seemed to be a solid "honey hole"for us.  All in all we caught about twenty Bass as well as one good sized Northern Pike and a White Perch. It took a while, but once we had the dialed in it was an amazing day!
